Hi Sarah,

Great Question!

I remember the day I found out about refunding. I was stunned to find out I could save even more in addition to couponing. The most important thing to refunding I found was organization. I bought a big plastic file box. I created tabs for every month of the year. In these sections I placed my refund forms by the date of expiration. I paper clipped together the upcs or whatever was required for that particular form to the form. I then placed it in the file box in the month that form expired.

There are many ways to find and obtain refund forms. They can be found hanging on shelves, a display or on the product itself. You also can ask at the customer service desk in stores if they have refund forms as well. Look in your Sunday coupon inserts.

Visit the Coupon Rebate Swap board at MyCoupons. Many people trade refund forms there. You can even purchase forms from a coupon service. Some refund forms can be found right on the internet and just print it out. Stores such as CVS, Rite Aid do single check rebates every month. Walgreens also has a refunding program. Check out their weekly ads. The Tips of the Trade board at MyCoupons contains a wealth of information on refunding and the latest refund forms found, so be sure to stop by there and visit.

You can get involved as little or as much as you want with refunds. The more involved the more time it takes. Remember, organization is the key to success in refunding.

We have been thinking for a long time about getting a dog for our family. We finally decided that we are going to do this. How do I go about shopping for and finding the best dog for us.

Hi Genine.. good question

Owning a dog to me is one of life's most rewarding experiences. My dog is a companion and friend to my whole family and me. He adds a great deal of love and joy to our lives. I found throughout the years, my children have learned important lessons from dog ownership such as self-esteem, compassion, and most importantly responsibility.

Before you begin your search for a dog for your family, it is very important to do your homework and make sure that the dog breed you choose is a good match for your lifestyle and family. You can do this through several means.

1) Talk to family members, friends or neighbors around your home who have dogs. Ask them what type it is, what care that particular breed requires, and if they are good around children.

2)If you have a particular breed in mind, do research on it on the internet or get some books from the library.

3)Talk to a veternarian and ask if a certain breed would fit into your family.

Once you've decided on a dog that is a fit for your family and you're ready to purchase, buy from a source that provides a health guarantee such as a reputable breeder. Dogs from shelters and pounds also need homes and can be excellent pets, but remember that some dogs are taken to shelters because of problems with behaviour.

Do your research carefully and avoid buying any animal on impulse, you and your new pet will likely be a perfect match.

Dear Annie,

I read on the blog the other day that you've been around coupons for a long time. I have read some posts on the boards about the days of online shopping were people were getting some really cheap things. I have just really started to shop online and I really would like to know how people did this and could do this now?

Heather a super question!! Ahhh I remember those days as I'm sure many of you readers do. Back in 1999 , it was the online boom. Online stores offering great deals on products trying to attract online shoppers with some awesome coupon codes and topping it off with nearly free shipping or free shipping. Wowsa, they had NO idea what they were going to have hit them.

Alas, the online stores finally realized they were losing out with all of us money saving, freebie hunting shoppers. BUT that does not mean you can't still find great deals with online shopping. When I shop I go to the Look What I Found board and see what is posted. Members post their good deals they've found. I also compare prices on different sites. I always search the MyCoupons Coupon Codes to find that good money or percentage off my purchase. Lastly, I always try to combine this with FREE shipping of some type on my purchase. MyCoupons coupon codes and FREE shipping are my ticket to saving.
