Baby Oil Magic!

Annie,

Thank you for the great household tips. I have one to share with you also.  I came upon this accidentally; was in the Sears store, and noticed a clerk was cleaning finger prints off stainless steel oven doors.  She was using baby oil on a cloth.  It worked great.  Went home and tried it on all my stainless steel appliances. Now they glow with shine and no markings from the kid's hands.  Not only that, I discovered a quick wipe with a plain cloth even afterwards, slicks away finger prints, dust and all.  Then maybe after 2-weeks, I just redo the baby oil application.

Thanks again for the great blog.

Thank you Patricia for the great tip!   Here are some more great household tips for you readers:

*Bleach Smell: To remove bleach smell from hands (and that slimy feeling) pour a little vinegar or lemon juice over your hands then rinse. (bleach is alkaline, vinegar and lemon are acid, so they cancel each other out and balance the pH of your skin.)

*Carpet spot cleaner. To clean spots on rugs and carpets, use window cleaner. It works as well as the spray-on carpet cleaners and if you buy the store brand (I use Wal Mart), you can get it for as little as $0.97 for a full quart bottle.

*If an electric plug fits too tight and is difficult to pull out, rub its prongs with a soft lead pencil.

*To clean a candle stand especially a glass one, place it in the deep freezer for one hour. The wax will chip off more easily
